Our founder, Kathleen Gibbs, recently had the opportunity to come back to the U.S. and speak at First United Methodist Church in La Porte, TX. In this conversation with Senior Pastor Dr. Kevin T. Gilmore and Associate Pastor Stacy Garces, Kathleen shared the heart behind Joy2theWorld Christian Academy. She spoke passionately about the school's mission to provide faith-based, high-quality education that empowers children and transforms lives, and highlights how your generous support is fueling academic growth, spiritual development, and personal confidence in our students. We invite you to watch the video and see firsthand the incredible impact your support is making.

Meet Emmanuel Gray—a determined young man whose journey began at our President, Kathleen's, gate, simply looking for work so he could afford his next meal. That moment sparked something life-changing. She enrolled him in school, purchased his uniform and books, and supported him every step of the way through his studies.
Today, Emmanuel is chasing an incredible opportunity: an international soccer scholarship through the Kwame Bofrot Foundation Football Trials in Ghana. We're currently on day two of the trials, and things are looking promising. His classmates even took time today to pray for his success. It’s a powerful reminder of how far he's come—and how much a little support can change a life. You can learn more about the foundation and the trials here: 👉 Kwame Bofrot Foundation launches U.S. scholarship-focused football trials in Ghana Stay tuned—we're rooting hard for Emmanuel! These are our champions for AI robotics all participants in the Saturday coding and robotics class. We are so proud of these kids. 4 participated in the International Championship and came in 3rd place. They were competing with senior high students!
Our P5 and P6 kids missed out on cancelled field trip so we packed up our 2 busses and created a field trip they would remember.
Akwaaba means welcome!
Our students traveled on a field trip to the Accra Airport. They even went through TSA and had to remove their shoes and learned that the customer service desk was to help travelers who might be lost and anxious. We took our students on a trip to the Kwame Nkumah Museum to see the history they are learning in class. They had a blast!
We've completed the plumbing and passed the government inspection in preparation for the final stage of building! Bathrooms, kitchen plumbing, and even the drains from the school atrium to the eventual gutters have been installed. The next step is to cover the plumbing and get the walls up.
We need your help to complete the last stages of building. Please visit our donations page to help us reach our goal. We appreciate your generous donations to help us continue in our mission of ending poverty through education. Happy New Year! 🎉
It's been hot here in Ghana so we decided to gather some older students to go swimming in Kotoku to celebrate the new year! It was a great day of swimming, sausages on a stick, french fries and cold drinks. What an amazing celebration we had! Thanks to the generosity of so many, every student got to choose a gift they loved—whether it was a yo-yo, t-shirt, dress, dinosaur, car, doll, Christmas hat, or something else special. The joy on their faces was unforgettable! The event was filled with Christmas carols, the beautiful telling of the Christmas Story, and plenty of fun. Students came together to sing, read Bible passages, and share in the holiday spirit. Even some of our alumni returned to join the festivities, making it a true celebration of community. It was a day filled with laughter, joy, and the warmth of the season—one we won’t soon forget. A huge thank you to everyone who made this magical event possible! Your support made it all come to life, and we couldn’t be more thankful. |
