Welcome to Joy2theWorld, Inc.

We are a non-profit organization making a difference for women and girls in Ghana, West Africa. Women entrepreneurs in Ghana, living on approximately $2 a day, support their families and raise their children. With the help of micro loans and some business tips and training, these women are learning about improving their inventory, making a profit and how to save for future investments. The micro loans are simply a tool for their success.

More importantly, our women are empowered to grow and learn and develop their wonderful spirits in support of each other. We hold regular Focus Group Meetings where women are actively involved in having a say about their community. Meet some of the women who attended our latest Focus Group Meeting.

Joy2theWorld, Inc. also brings the quality of life that our women deserve. Can you imagine working all day in the hot sun and then to go home and fetch water to use for cooking and cleaning? Yes, our women and their children must fetch their water but Joy2theWorld added a new well. Now fetching clean, clear water is a reward of its own.

With your financial help, Joy2theWorld provides access to an improved quality of life. Scholarships are awarded to the children of our clients. Buckets with spigots provide easy use in homes. This simple addition (the spigot on the bucket) makes training children to wash their hands often, particularly before meals, so much easier. Washing hands is the first deterrent to spreading diseases.

Over the past 5 years, we have watched women succeed and their families benefit from small business loans. The women learn the power of giving their Word (no collateral is required for the loans, only co-signers). This is the first step in empowerment. Repaying their loans within the loan agreement, investing in their businesses and considering growth strategies instills personal pride.

This is one way that your financial support can make a tangible difference in the fight against poverty. Your donation creates a loan for a woman. She, in turn, builds her business inventory, attends classes on budgeting and growing her business with additional sales. Her income increases substantially. More important, this woman learns she can create her own financial destiny.
