SRU Interns read stories to children in Rebecca’s school. First 10 kids, then more, arrived until there were over 100 students in school to meet the Obruni’s.

Women clients who attended the Open Forum heard a lecture on preventative health practices. Nurses from Kumasi (a 3 hour drive one-way) arrived to provide free breast exams for women. Families here live in “compounds”. Small homes almost connected, designed at angles to provide a little privacy, so the family stays together even after marriages. Families are strong here and very loving. I met parents, siblings, girlfriend and they were all gracious and popped in to say hello.
